Slow traffic on Dhaka-Bangabandhu highway causes jam

A severe traffic jam spanning nearly 23 kilometres has been reported on the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu highway, causing significant inconvenience to passengers.

On Friday morning (October 4), the congestion extended from Rabna Bypass area to Bangabandhu Bridge Eastern bank, affecting the route.

Sources said that a bus and a truck collided in Elenga-Kalihati ling road area early morning. That accident caused the traffic jam mainly.

Elenga highway police outpost in-charge Mohammad Nannu Khan said that traffic is slow on the road since dawn. Police are working to clear the traffic jam. Hope the traffic on the road will be normal soon.
