Defamation case filed against Tapasi Tabassum Urmi

A case has been filed against the suspended assistant commissioner of Lalmonirhat Taposhee Tabassum Urmi for making derogatory remarks against Chief Adviser and about Abu Sayed, who was killed in police firing during the quota reform movement.

Jatiya Party leader Mollah Shawkat Hossain Babul filed the case with the court of Khulna Metropolitan Magistrate-2 Judge Md Al Amin on Wednesday (October 9).

The court asked Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to file probe report within the next December 15.

Lawyer of the plaintiff, SM Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter.
