2 killed in covered van, truck collision in Tangail

At least two people were killed when a truck collided with a covered van in Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Friday (October 11).

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Sources said the accident took place in Shalla area of Dhaka-Tangail-Jamuna Bridge around 5:30am. Following the accident, truck jam was created in the area stretched around 15-kilometer.

Elenga fire service In-charge Ataur Rahman said Dhaka-bound covered van collided with the truck, leaving the two people dead on the spot and injured another one.
