593 tonnes of green chillies imported from India 

A total of 593 tonnes of green chillies have been imported from India through Benapole port over the past two days. 

A shipment of 10 tonnes and 956kg of green chillies arrived on a single truck on Tuesday.

A total of 581 tonnes and 970kg of green chillies were imported on 50 trucks on Monday.

Masudur Rahman, a customs officer of Benapole Check Posts, confirmed the matter.

According to Benapole Customs, 28 Bangladeshi importers brought in the green chillies from India on Monday at a total cost of approximately Tk 3.34 crore.
