Juba League allegedly attack students at CU, 4 hurt

At least four students were injured when Juba League and Chhatra League activists attacked general students at Chattogram University on Monday morning (October 21).

The injured are Yeasin Arafat, Nazmul Hasan, Monayem Sharif, Abdullah Al Noman.

Witnesses said the supporters of local Juba League leader Hanif attacked several shops in the area around 4:00am exploding cocktails. Meanwhile, Chhatra League activists joined them.

On information, students of the campus rushed to the spot and triggered the clash, leaving the four students.

Following the issue, the university proctor Professor Dr Tanvir Mohammad Haydar said that cocktails were exploded on the university campus centering a dispute between two local businessmen. Meanwhile, panic spread among the students.
