Mother, daughter `gang-raped` in Noakhali, 2 held

A mother and her daughter have allegedly been gang-raped in Companiganj upazila of Noakhali. Police have arrested two youths in this regard.

The arrestees are Hasan, 36, Harun, 32.

The incident took place on Sunday night. Later, the victims filed complained with Companiganj police station on Saturday night (October 26).

According to the victim, her husband is a covered van driver. She lives in a remote area with her 17-year-old daughter and brother-in-law in the house. On Sunday night, around 11:00pm, six youths entered the house, gagged and bound her brother-in-law and then dragged her and her daughter outside.

Companiganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Gazi Muhammad Fauzul Azim said after the allegations were reported, a raid was conducted and two people were detained.
