Mirpur Ex-DC Jasim Uddin arrested

Jasim Uddin, the former DC (Superintendent of Police) of Mirpur, the accused under the arrest warrant in the July-August massacre, has been arrested from Rangpur on Wednesday (October 30) morning.

Confirming the matter, Jasim Uddin’s lawyer Kazi Elias-Ur-Rahman said Jasim Uddin is supposed to be presented at International Crimes Tribunal this noon.

Advocate Abdullah Al Noman, the prosecutor of the tribunal, said that Jasim regarded as first accused will be produced before the tribunal today since the re-formation of the tribunal.
