Jatiya Party office set on fire in Khulna

Miscreants set fire to the Khulna district and metropolitan unit’s office after they had carried out vandalism.
The incident took place in Dakbangla More at around 6:00pm. It also created panic among the local residents.
Sheikh Munir-ul-Gias, officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Thana, said identities of the attackers are yet to be known.
A group of agitated people reportedly threw bricks bats at the office and brought two chairs from inside and setting those on fire. A tense situation has been prevailing in the area, he said.
Sajidul Islam Bappy, a leader of the anti-discrimination student movement in Khulna, said that a group of protesters vandalized the Jatiya Party office and clarified that his organization was not involved in the incident.
