One killed, 6 burnt in M’singh CNG filling station fire

A fire broke out at a CNG filling station in Mymensingh on Monday (November 4), leaving a man dead and six others burnt.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

The fire originated at Ajahar Filling Station near Rahmatpur bypass intersection in the city at around 2.45 pm.

Md Safikul Islam Khan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kotwali Model Police Station, confirmed the news.

Those sustainng burn injuries have been admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, the OC said.

On information, seven units of firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after around one hour, said Mozammel Hossain, deputy director at Mymensingh fire service and civil defence station.

The reason behind the fire and extent of damage could not be known immediately.
