Businessman hacked dead in Jashore

A 42-year-old man has been hacked to death allegedly by miscreants in Kholadanga Gazirbazar area of Jashore district town on Monday evening (November 4).

The deceased was known as Aminur Sajal Munshi, 42, son of Azizur Islam Mintu.

Police and family members of the victim said that a peace committee was formed in Gazirbazar few days ago. Sajal was elected president of the committee. The dispute centering the committee formation would be the reason behind the murder.

Riding a motorcycle, some of the miscreants attacked the victim with lethal weapon, leaving him critically injured. Later, he was taken to Jashore General Hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead.

Jashore Katwali model police station OC Kazi Babul Hossain said details can be said after investigation.
