Three, including two sisters, drown in Muradnagar

Three people, including two sisters, drowned at Gunjur village and Panchkitta in Muradnagar upazila of Cumilla district on Friday.

Two sisters-Samia, 13, and Samiba, 7, daughters of Sohel Mia, drowned in the water of a whole at Gunjur village.  

Locals said the children fell into the water. Being rescued, they were taken to Debidwar Upazila Health Complex but duty doctors declared them dead.

A mentally disabled young girl Ria, 20, drowned in a pond at Panchkitta village.

Officer-in-Charge of Muradnagar Thana Mahbubul Haq said they have been informed the matter and police are going to the spots.
