2 killed in motorcycle accident on elevated expressway

Two young men were killed as their motorbike crashed into a lamp post on the Chittagong Elevated Expressway at EPZ area.

The incident happened at 12 midnight on Friday (November 8).

The deceased were identified as Moktar, 28 and Rubel, 36, residents of Sadarghat area of the port city.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of EPZ Police Station Mohammad Akhteruzzaman confirmed the information.

The OC said the accident occurred around 12am when the motorcycle hit the lamp post as the motorcyclist lost his control while heading towards Lalkhan Bazar from Patenga area, leaving them dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
