5 burnt in Narayanganj fire caused by gas leak

Five people have been burnt in a fire triggered by a leak in a gas pipeline at Kanchpur area of Narayanganj.

The incident took place in front of Sonapur Lovely cinema hall of Kanchpur around 11:00pm on Monday (November 11).

The injured are Razu, Ripon, Sonapir, Mizan, Shahjalal.

Witnesses said that an explosion occurred when workers went to do a welding task in a main line of Titas gas.

Sonargaon police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Bari said on information police rushed to the spot.
