Man beaten to death over land dispute in N’ganj

A man was beaten to death reportedly by his rivals over land dispute at Narayanganj on Tuesday night (November 13).

The deceased was known as Jahangir Ahmed, 45, son of late Mohar Ali.

Jashim, brother of the victim claimed that Jahangir joined a meeting to settle a land issue with Amir, Faisal and three others. Later, he was found senseless in the spot. At one stage, three suspected people tried to flee the scene leaving Jahangir in critical condition. Meanwhile, locals caught Amir and Faisal and handed over to police.

The critically injured Jahangir was taken to hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Sadar model police station Sub Inspector Fazar Ali confirmed the matter.
