2 killed as truck falls into road-side ditch in Barishal

Two people were killed when a truck plunged into a roadside ditch in Tarakupi area of Gaurnadi on Dhaka-Barishal highway on Thursday night (November 21).

The deceased were known as Mukul Hossain, 35, and Badal Mollah, 40.

The accident took place around 11:00 pm.

Gaurnadi fire service station Officer Md Bipul Hossain said on information, the truck and bodies of the victims were recovered and handed over to police station.

Confirming the matter, Gaurnadi highway police station OC Md Aminur Rahman said after selling goods in Barishal, the truck was heading towards Faridpur. But the driver lost control over steering and plunged into the roadside ditch, leaving the duo dead on the spot.
