A court in Chattogram has sent former ISKCON leader Chandan Kumar Dhar, also known as Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, to jail after dismissing his bail petition in connection with a sedition case.
The bail petition of Chinmoy Krishna Das, who is also the spokesperson for Sammilita Sanatani Jagaran Jote, and head of Pundarik Dham in Chattogram, was rejected in the court of the 6th Metropolitan Magistrate, Kazi Shariful Islam after hearing in the case on Tuesday (November 26).
Earlier around 11 am, he was produced before the court amid tight security in the sedition case filed with Kotwali Police Station on October 31.
The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained Chinmoy Krishna Das from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday (November 25) afternoon.
