2 Bangladeshis injured in BSF firing at Kasba border

Two Bangladeshi nationals were injured when the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) opened fire at the Putia border in Bayek Union, Kasba Upazila of Brahmanbaria district.
The incident took place on Monday afternoon (November 25).
The injured were identified as Rukon Uddin (35), son of Aziz Mia from Barhatta, Netrakona, and Zakir Hossain (30), son of Razzak Mia of Putia village in Kasba. They were immediately rushed to Cumilla Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Doctors at the Kasba Upazila Health Complex reported bullet wounds on their faces, hands, and various parts of their bodies.
Lt. Colonel AM Jaber bin Jabbar, captain of the 60th battalion of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), confirmed the incident on Tuesday (November 26) noon.
A formal protest has been lodged in this regard, he said.
