2 get life-term imprisonment for killing in Narail

A court in Narail sentenced two people to life-term imprisonment for killing a man namely Shaheb Ali in Kalia upazila of the district in 2002.
District and Sessions Judge Md Shahjahan Ali passed the order around 12:30pm on Tuesday (November 26).
The court also fined the convicts Tk 10000 each; in default, they will have to serve six months more in jail.
The convicted persons are Khalil Fakir and Maruf Fakir. Both of them were the residents at Rajapur village in Kalia upazila.
According to the prosecution, the convicts hacked Shaheb Ali to death at Rajapur village over land dispute on 19 October in 2002.
Following the murder, one Biswas Azizur Rahman filed a case with Kalia Police Station accusing 14 people.
