Truck hits Sarjis-Hasnat`s car

A truck hit the private car that carried earlier Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah, two key organisers of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, on Wednesday evening.

The incident took place at around 7:30pm in Chunti area of Lohagara upazila of Chattogram. But they were not at the car when the incident took place.

Assistant Sub Inspector of Lohagara Thana Md Alim confirmed the matter.

However, the truck managed to flee the spot.

They were returning after offering munajat at the grave of Saiful Islam Alif.

The lawyer and APP of Chattogram Court was killed in a clash over a court order to send Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari to jail on Tuesday afternoon.
