20 injured as bus turns turtle in Rangamati

Some 20 students were injured as a bus carrying pilgrims turned turtle in Manikchhari area of the district on Friday (November 29).

The accident took place around 9:30 am.

On information, fire service and police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured people.

The passengers of the bus said the bus carrying some 40 people, was heading towards Rajbanbihar from Rangunia this morning. At one stage, the driver of the bus lost control over steering and turned turtle, leaving 20 people injured.

Rangamati general hospital’s doctor Sadia Chowdhury said critically injured three people were sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
