Ctg lawyer killing: Three more arrested

Chattogram Metropolitan Police has arrested three more people as suspects over the murder of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif.

Kotwali Thana Police arrested them in separate drives on Thursday night. 

The arrestees are Babla Dhar, Sajal Shil and Durlav.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Thana Fazlul Kader Chowdhury confirmed the matter.

He said police last night arrested three more people in connection with the violence between followers of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, law enforcers, and lawyers.

With the latest arrest, 38 persons were so far arrested. Police is identifying them seeing video footage.  

Saiful Islam Alif was injured when followers of ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari clashed with law enforcers at a Chattogram court demanding his release. 

Saiful Islam Alif was taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.  

A court in Chattogram sent former ISKCON leader Chandan Kumar Dhar to jail after dismissing his bail petition in connection with a sedition case.
