Security tightened around Indian Assistant High Commission in Rajshahi

Following an attack on the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in India’s Agartala, police have heightened security at the Assistant High Commission office of India in Rajshahi.
Three-tier security measures have been taken in the area. Besides, plain-dressed policemen and detectives are patrolling the office of the assistant commission area.
Wishing anonymity, an on-duty police officer in the area said that security measures have been beefed up around the Indian Assistant High Commission. Following an attack on the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in India’s, additional security steps taken here.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) additional deputy police commissioner (media) Sabina Yasmin said that security has been beefed-up around the Indian Assistant High Commission, the Assistant High Commissioner's residence, and the visa application center.
There is no threat of attack on these facilities. However, we are on high alert, he added.
