Two youths killed in Feni road crash

Two youths were killed when a covered van rammed their motorcycle on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Feni on Thursday evening (December 5).

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Yunus, 18, Mohammad Shahjahan, 18.

Highway police and fire service sources said riding three motorcycles, six youths went to Akilpur sea beach from Chhagalnaiya upazila of Feni. After enjoying sea beach, they tried to return home at evening. But rider of one of the motorcycles lost control over bike handlebar and fell on the road. Meanwhile, a covered van ran over them, leaving them dead on the spot.

Kumira fire service station’s officer Feroz Bhuiyan said on information, the rescuers recovered the bodies and handed over them to police.

Baroawlia highway police station OC Abdul Mubin confirmed the matter.
