Temperature drops to 11.5 degree Celsius in Patuakhali

A mild cold wave is sweeping over the country and Patuakhali district recorded the lowest temperature this morning at 11.5 degrees Celsius.

The lowest temperature was recorded in Khepupara weather office of the district at 9 am on Thursday (December 12).

The shivering cold is causing immense sufferings for low-income people, forcing them to stay indoors.

Akhter Jahan, in-charge of Patuakhali District Meteorological Office, said that the intensity of winter may increase further throughout the month. Besides, dense fog and freezing winds may prevail.
