4 killed in Gazipur road accident

At least four people were killed when a covered van and a truck rammed into an auto rickshaw in Chandana Chowrasta of Gazipur.

The deceased were known as Saleha Akter Tuktuki, 26, Imran Hasan Razan, 38, Md Mamun, 23, and Md Dulal, 42.

The accident took place around 11:30pm on Wednesday (December 11).

Local sources said Mymensingh-bound a truck hit an auto-rickshaw in front of Jobeda Tower area. Meanwhile, the rickshaw sandwiched between a truck and a parked covered van. 

Police said one person died on the spot and three others died on the way to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital.

Basan police station officer-in-charge Kamrul Islam confirmed the matter.
