To tackle the situation, the authorities of six factories declared shut and announced general holidays in six other factories.
Mohammad Mominul Islam Bhuiyan, Superintendent of Police for Ashulia Industrial Zone-1 confirmed the matter.
The workers said it has become difficult to make a living on the current salary due to rising inflation. Therefore, they have resumed the movement with various demands, including a 15 percent increase in annual salary, a minimum wage of Tk25,000.
