One killed in 10-vehicle collision on Dhaka-Mawa expressway

One was killed and at least 15 others were injured when an accident involving 10 vehicles took place on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway at Sreenagar upazila of Munshiganj early Sunday due to dense fog.
The accidents took place between 8am and 8:30am on Sunday (December 22).
The deceased was identified as Farhad Hossain, 40, a resident from Bhanga upazila of Faridpur and the driver of a bus.
Dewan Azad, statin officer of Sreenagar Fire Service, said, “At least 10 to 15 people were injured after ten vehicles involving passenger bus, truck, private car, pickup and covered van collided with each other due to dense fog.”
Marjia Mahbub, duty doctor at the emergency department of Sreenagar upazila health complex, said, “Two people injured in road accident were brought to the hospital. Of them, one died and his body was kept at hospital morgue for autopsy.”
