Elections to be held after implementing reform: Asif Mahmud

Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, the adviser for the ministries of local government as well as youth and sports, said hon'ble Chief Adviser announced a road map for elections. But the next election depends on the reform process. The elections will be held after implementing the reform.
The adviser said this while addressing a winter cloths distribution program at Kaharole upazila in Dinajpur on Tuesday morning (December 24).
Meanwhile, he said the main goal of the mass uprising 2024 was to end the fascist regime. The interim government is working to abolish the fascist system.
If the political parties get impatient regarding the upcoming elections, the reform process will be disrupted, he added.
Deputy Commissioner Md Rafiqul Islam presided over the program where Rangpur divisional director of local government Abu Jafar, Adviser’s Private Secretary Abul Hasan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Noor A Alam attended.
