Two missing tourists found dead in Rangamati

Bodies of two missing tourists were recovered from Karnaphuli river in Sitaghat area under Kaptai upazila in Rangamati on Thursday morning (December 26).

The deceased were known as Shawon Dutta, 16, and Prionto Dutta. Shawon was a student of class nine of Railway Public School. Prionto was his cousin.

Shilangchhari ward UP member Sarowar said the bodies of the missing two people were found around 7:30 am.

Kaptai Fire Service’s senior station officer Shahadat Hossain said on information, an eight-member team recovered the bodies around 8:00am.
