BNP activist slaughtered in Noakhali

A BNP activist was shot and slaughtered by miscreants in Begumganj upazila of Noakhali on Friday noon.

The incident took place at around 2:00pm at Sujaetpur village under Aliapur union of the upazila. 

The deceased is Kabir Hossain, 35, son of late Nurnabi. 

According to police, Kabir Hossain was a BNP activist for the local ward unit. He was returning home after Jumma prayer from Sujaetpur Purba Jame Mosque.  About 5/6 miscreants riding a CNG auto-rickshaw shot him. Later, they slaughtered him.  

Noakhali Superintendent of Police (SP) Md. Abdullah-al-Farooq said, “The police reached the spot after receiving the information. It is believed that the murder was committed over the previous enmity. The police have started working to find out the reason”.
