Engine failure disrupts train services in Mymensingh

Train services were disrupted for more than two hours this afternoon after the engine of a Mymensingh-bound commuter train showed a technical glitch at the outer signal of Dhalla Railway Station in Mymensingh.
The engine of the Mahua Commuter broke down at around 1:15 pm on Sunday (December 29). Later, the rail communication became normal around 3:45 pm when the train was dispatched.
Gafargaon railway outpost in-charge assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Ariz Shikder said that the engine of the Mahua Commuter broke down causingthe Dhaka-Mymensingh railway communication halt.
Later, the engine of the Agnibeena Express, which left Dhaka, was taken to Dhala station to clear the line, he added.
