Mild earthquake jolts Sylhet

A magnitude 5 earthquake was felt in Dhaka, Sylhet, and various parts of Bangladesh on Friday morning (January 3).
The earthquake was felt at 10:32 am.
There was no immediate report of casualties or damage.
Sylhet weather office said the epicenter was located 482 kilometres from Dhaka in Myanmar, affecting areas in the northeastern region, including Sylhet and its surroundings.
Earlier a mild earthquake jolted Sylhet on June 2, 2024.
