Youth arrested in Sylhet over fraud

Police have arrested a youth named Fahim Ahmed, 20, on charges of impersonating the son of Bangladesh's ambassador to Mexico Mushfiqul Fazal Ansari.
He was arrested from Raynagar area of Sylhet city on Friday (January 3) night.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Media Officer of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) Mohammad Saiful Islam confirmed this.
Fahim Ahmed is the son of Rafiq Mia at Deogaon under Kulaura upazila in Moulvibazar district. He used to live in a house in Raynagar area.
Police said that the accused Fahim Ahmed used to lobby to transfer in the home ministry and other government offices and admit to various schools.
He used to impersonate the eldest son of Bangladesh’s ambassador to Mexico Mushfiqul Fazal Ansari.
The ambassador’s former colleague journalist Abu Sufian Farabi informed him about the matter. At that time, Mushfiqul Fazle Ansari informed the police and advised to take immediate action against Fahim.
