Former minister Latif Biswas arrested

The law enforcers detained former fisheries and livestock minister Abdul Latif Biswas from Kamarpara area of Belkuchi upazila in Sirajganj on Sunday afternoon (January 5).

Jakaria Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Belkuchi police station said joint forces are conducting a drive at his residence. Details will be announced later.

Abdul Latif Biswas served as the president of Belkuchi Upazila Awami League for many years. In 2016, he was elected president of the district Awami League. In the 12th national election, he participated as a independent candidate after failing to get nomination from Awami League.
