BGB detains 3 for illegal border crossing in Satkhira

The Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) has detained three individuals, while they were attempting to illegally cross from Bangladesh into India via the Choygharia border area of Satkhira.

The detainees are Tripti Biswas, 20, daughter of Ratan Ghosh, hailed from Bakal area of Satkhira Sadar, Babla Biswas, 11, son of Haran Biswas, Sujon Kumar Das, 38, son of Upen Chandra Das.

Satkhira BGB-33 Battalion director and commander lieutenant colonel Md Ashraful Haque confirmed the matter.

He said that acting on secrete information, BGB personnel took position in the area and detained the three people for trying to cross border illegally.
