Sunamganj road crash kills two motorcyclists

Two motorcyclists were killed when an auto rickshaw hit their bike on Sunamganj-Jagannathpur road under Shantiganj upazila of the district on Monday (January 6).

The deceased were known as Amirul Islam, 50, son of late Syed Makhddus Ali, and Razin Ahmed, 26, son of Habibur Rahman.

Police and witnesses said the victims were heading towards Pagla Bazar of Shantinagar riding by a motorcycle around 11:00 am. Meanwhile, the bike collided with an auto rickshaw, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

Later, on information, police recovered the body.

Shantiganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Akram Ali confirmed the matter.
