90 Bangladeshi fishermen freed by India arrive in Chattogram

90 Bangladeshi fishermen returned home today (January 7) after spending a couple of months in jail in India.

A coast guard ship carrying the fishermen arrived at Patenga coastal beach this morning.

Earlier on Sunday noon, upon completion of the formal procedures, Bangladeshi fishermen and crew members along with two fishing vessels Indian coast guard handed them over to Bangladesh coast guard in heron point area of Bay of Bangle.

Chattogram coast guard east zone media division confirmed the matter.
