2nd unit of Payra power plant resumes after 2 months

The second unit of Payra 1320 megawatts (MW) Thermal Power Plant resumed power generation on Monday after two months.

After completing repair tasks, the authority resumed the production around 9:30 pm on Monday (January 6).

Payra Thermal Power Plant’s assistant manager (investigation) Shah Moni Jiko confirmed the matter.

Earlier on November 9 last year, the power generation operations of the second unit were stopped for maintenance work.
