Truck hits auto-rickshaw in Gazipur, 3 killed 

A brick laden truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Chapair Chairmanbari area  in Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur district on Tuesday afternoon.

Three people were killed in the clash.

The deceased are auto-rickshaw driver, Karim Mia, 42, son of Riazul Islam at Gobindapur village, Oyon Roy, 35, son of Gopal Chandro Roay at Sutrapur Noyanpur village, and Sudip Das, 37, son of late Basudeb Das at Tan Suntrapur village.  

According to locals, the auto-rickshaw was heading toward Kaliakair with several passengers. As the vehicle reached Chairmanbari area, a truck traveling from Kaliakair to Fulbaria hit the auto-rickshaw, leaving one dead on the spot.  

The injured individuals were rushed to the Kaliakair Upazila Health Complex, where two more succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment.
