This time, expatriates will be able to participate in election: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin said, “The Election Commission has decided not to use EVMs in the upcoming national election. The EC is working to hold the election within the timeframe set by the chief advisor, following specific guidelines. This time, expatriates will be able to participate in the election.”

He made the remarks while addressing an event in Sylhet on Saturday (January 11).

In reply to a question, the CEC said, “In will become clear in due time which parties remain registered. Whether the Awami League can participate in the election will also be determined in due time, and the EC is working on this.”
