BNP leader killed in Kishoreganj clash

A local BNP leader was killed and injured five others in a clash between two groups centering BNP council of Tarail upazila in Kishoreganj on Sunday (January 12).

The deceased was known as Abul Hasan Ratan, Rauti union BNP president.

The incident took place around 11:00 am.

Confirming the matter, Tarail police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sohel Mia said a BNP new committee was formed through a conference at Rauti union on Saturday.

Centering the committee formation, two groups of the union BNP locked in a clash that left five people critically injured.

Later, the injured were taken to upazila health complex where duty doctor declared Ratan dead.
