Fire at Rohingya camp kills one, destroys 100 homes

At least one Rohingya child has died after a fire destroyed more than 100 homes at the refugee camp in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The fire originated at Mochoni Nayapara Registered Rohingya camp around 11:30 pm on Thursday (February 16).
Teknaf Nayapara camp in-charge (joint secretary) Abdul Hannan said the fire broke out instantly and spread adjacent areas. Later, locals and fire service officials managed to bring the blaze under control after a one-hour effort.
Armed police battalion commander Mohammad Kausar Sikder confirmed the matter.
