Effective press council to be formed: Kamal Ahmed

Media Reform Commission Chief Kamal Ahmed said that an effective Press Council will be formed to preserve and enhance media freedom.

He said this while addressing a view exchange meeting at conference room of Rangpur deputy commissioner on Sunday morning (January 19).

Kamal Ahmed said the rights of journalists, readers, listeners, and the general public will be protected through the formation of a strong and effective Press Council.

The Press Council is known by different names in different countries around the world. It's name and structural development will be taken place following the opinions of journalists, he added.
