20 injured as 6 vehicles collide due to dense fog in Rangpur

A multi-vehicle collision involving six vehicles took place on the Rangpur-Dhaka highway after drivers of the vehicles lost control over the steering due to dense fog.

The incident took place on Saturday (February 1) at around 8 am at Garer Matha intersection on the Rangpur-Dhaka highway in Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur.

The accident resulted in no fatalities but left at least 20 people injured.

The vehicles involved in the collision included two passenger buses, a truck, a pickup truck, and a covered van.

In-charge of Baradargah Highway police Md Moniruzzaman confirmed the incident.
