Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route resume after 10.30hrs

The ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route in the Padma River resumed after 10.30 hours’ suspension due to dense fog.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Daulatdia Ghat section manager Mohammad Salahuddin said that the density of fog increased in the area since Saturday night. This has made ferry services on the route risky and the marking lights of the ferry became dim. Therefore, the ferry movement on the Paturia-Daulatdia river route was suspended at 10.30am due to poor visibility as the dense fog blanketed the river route.

The ferry movement started at 9am when the dense fog disappeared, he added.
