Faruk murder: Ex-MP Khan, his 3 brothers acquitted

A Tangail court has sentenced two to life in prison and acquitted 10 others including former MP Amanur Rahman Khan Rana and his three brothers a case over the murder of Awami League leader Faruk Ahmed.

Tangail Additional District and Sessions Judge Md Mahmudul Hasan passed the order on Sunday (February 2).

Tangail AL leader and freedom fighter Faruk Ahmed was shot dead near his residence in Tangail town on January 18, 2013.

On January 22, 2013, Faruk`s wife Nahar Ahmed filed the murder case with Tangail Model Police Station against unidentified criminals.
