Two more devotees die in second phase of Ijtema

Two devotees passed away on the first day of the second phase of Bishwa Ijtema on Tuesday night, taking the death toll to 9.

The deceased were known as Sujabat Ali Sarkar, 75, son of Gafut Ali, hailed from Kamarkhand of Sirajganj, and Samsul Alam, 60, hailed from Akkelpur upazila of Joypurhat.

Habibullah Raihan, media coordinator of Tablighi Jamaat Bangladesh's Shura Nezam confirmed the information on Wednesday (February 5).

Earlier on February 3, the first phase of Ijtema ended with the Akheri Munajat prayer on the banks of the Turag River.
