Gazipur attack: Injured student Kashem dies 

A youth who was recently injured while trying to stop an attack on the house of former Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque in Gazipur has passed away.

Md. Kashem, 20, a member of Students Against Discrimination, died at around 3:00pm on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Md. Kashem was the son of late Jaman Haji in Kalmeshwar area of Gazipur city. 

Officer-in-Charge of Gaccha Thana Ali Mohammad Rased confirmed the matter.

Md Abdullah Mohit, the convener of the Students Against Discrimination of Gazipur unit, filed a case with Gazipur sadar thana in this regard.

On February 7, at least 20 people were injured when alleged Awami League activists attacked a group of protesters near the ancestral home of Mozammel Haque in Gazipur.
