5 killed in Gazipur road crashes

At least five people were killed and three others were injured in separate road accidents in Sreepur and Kaliakoir of Gazipur on Sunday afternoon (February 16).

The deceased were known as Shahadat Hossain, son of Sirajuddin, Sabuj Mia, son of Jahirul Islam, and Arif Hossain, hailed from Nandabala village of Tangail Sadar, Rashed Iqbal, son of Rafiul Islam and Abu Bakkar Siddique, son of Ruhul Amin.

Naojor highway police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rais Uddin said three trucks collided in Boardghar area of Sreepur around 4:00 am, leaving Shahadat, Jahirul and Abu Bakkar dead on the spot.

On the other hand, two people including a banker were killed in separate road crashed in Sreepur of Gazipur.

Sreepur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Joynal Abedin Mandal confirmed the matter.
