Major fire erupts at 10 resorts of Sajek

A major fire broke out at 10 resorts of Sajek Valley in Baghaichhari of Rangamati on Monday noon.

The fire originated at around 1:00 pm in a resort named ‘Obokash’ and rapidly spread to nearby areas.

Baghaichhari UNO Shirin Akter said being informed, fire service reached the spot at around 2:45pm. 

The army, BGB, fire service and locals are working to douse the flames.

The cause behind the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be ascertained.
